Is a term to optimise your webpages to feature amongst top serach results in any search engine for a set of words. Its more to do with trying to understand the algorithm of any search engine and structuring a webpage accordingly through content, links, navigation, page structure etc. major search engine being Google, Bing and others. Any search result on google shows two results. marked under”ads by google” or “sponsored ads” are paid advertisement and rest others are a result of SEO.

It also offers an advertiser to target the audience based on their geogrpahy, device, demographics and few other features. The advertiser can advertise on click basis or on impression basis. The platform also lends extensive analysis features like campaign tracking , conversion codes to find which of your ad messages , keywords , websites are fruitful for you and what are a waste for you. The platform works on real time bidding wherein multiple advertisers bid to reach out to a defined target audience and the best part is, not necessarily the hgihest bidder gets to display their ad but so many factors including the ad quality, landing page quality and content,few other parameters decide the advertiser for the user.
